Applying

Eligibility, application decisions, corrections and next steps.

Who can apply, including students, freelancers and people between jobs?

You must be at least 18 to create an account. Membership eligibility depends on your professional background and fit with the community; creating an account or making a payment does not by itself confirm acceptance.

Describe your current situation accurately, whether you are employed, freelancing, founding a company, studying or between roles. Keep your LinkedIn profile up to date so the review has the right context.

If your profile needs more context, follow the options on your application status page. Where an appeal is available, explain your work and what your profile may be missing before the deadline shown.

What information do I need to apply?

Keep these details ready:

  • Your contact details: your name and the email you use for GrowthX.
  • Your professional background: your current role, company and LinkedIn profile.
  • Your reason for joining: what you work on and what you want to learn or achieve.

The fields you see depend on your joining flow. Membership profile checks use LinkedIn, so check that the link points to your profile and that your current work is represented accurately.

If a required field prevents you from continuing, email [email protected] with your account email, the field name and the error message. Include a screenshot if helpful, with unrelated personal details hidden. Never share a password or OTP.

How do I check my application status?

  1. Open your application. Visit the application status page and sign in with the account you used to join.
  2. Read the status and next step. Complete any information requested. If your profile is being reviewed after payment, use the decision date shown on that page.
  3. Use the options available to you. Add context, submit an appeal or request a refund only where the page offers that option. For an appeal, follow the deadline displayed in your account.

Already paid? Payment and membership acceptance are separate steps. A review screen does not mean you need to buy again. Read its payment and refund details for your purchase.

If you cannot find your application, email [email protected] with your account email and approximate application date. If you have paid, include the order or payment reference and the status you currently see.

Does acceptance for an event or Sprint also mean acceptance for membership?

No. Each confirmation covers a different kind of access:

  • Event approval confirms your place at that event.
  • A Build Sprint purchase covers the inclusions listed for that programme.
  • GrowthX membership is separate unless your purchase explicitly includes it, and membership eligibility still applies.

For a bundle, check both the purchase inclusions and your membership application status. You can review your products in Settings → Membership (Subscription on mobile).

Patience—you’re about to be impressed.
